A New York Getaway

This past weekend Phillip and I went on a little getaway to NYC. We love to go to New York. The food, the shopping, the entertainment, the culture.... It's all so much fun. This trip however, I  think was the best trip so far. We ate the most tasty and delicious food....EVER. I could seriously just go there and eat. The first night we were there we met up with a guy, that works for the same financial firm Phillip works for there in NY, and his wife. They took us to a restaurant called TAO. OMG it was the best Asian food I have ever had in my LIFE!!! It makes Pei Wei and PF Changs taste like mall food. I had the Swordfish that came with this lightly breaded pan seared asparagus. YUMMMM.... We also tried different kinds of sushi. It was all so good. We topped it off with the best, and when I say the best, I mean THE BEST Banana Pudding I have EVER EATEN!!!

Yes...those are fired bananas on top.... sinful!!!

The next morning we woke up and got ready to go have brunch. Phillip had a  special places he wanted to take me for brunch so I was really excited. He always chooses great places. And the fact that he has several New yorker friends doesnt hurt either. We went to a place called 230 5th. The name os the restaurant is the address. Cute! To my surprise it was a rooftop brunch spot. AMAZING!!! If any of you go I highly recommend it!!! Incredible view, delicious food, yummy coffees, perfect brunch atmosphere. I had the Lightly Lemoned Pancakes topped with Strawberries and a light syrup with a honey and cream cheese spread.... You can't even imagine how yummy it was.

The rest of the day we SHOPPED!! It was so fun to just walk around the city and go in and out of our favorite stores. We shopped for like 10 hours... Our feet were so sore....
